Workshop facilitator and resource person to draft a framework for a focused multi- stakeholder workshop to prepare a detailed project on the "Integrated Management of Land and Water in Shared Catchments in the Transboundary Area of Niger and Nigeria". The one-person assignment included pre-mission planning/coordination, consultations with policy makers, technical staff and ministers in Niger and Nigeria, and U.N. and other intergovernmental organisations concerned with the implementation of the Maiduguri 1990 Agreement on Shared Water Resources.

Preparations for the 70 person workshop at Kano, Nigeria, included liaison with all parties, venue and logistics advice, and readiness to serve as the workshop facilitator. For the International Fund for Agricultural Development, Rome, and the United Nations Environment Programme, Nairobi.

Contract writer to draft and finalize EIA guidelines for the Investment Center of the FAO, published in 2000.
